Never go for it! If you dont really wanna experience stress and insult...
I would never recommend this place just because of the aggressive owner and a few things more. Some people could have written positive things yet there are some but I think the owner changed his manner recently towards guests which makes this basic but nice place into a bad one because of his behaviours. Here is what happened: read please.
All was fine at first but after 1 day he started to keep warning us every time he saw every time I m not exaggerating!!! Warning about unnecessary rules of his own and very unimportant things all the time he came across and disturbed us with these things a lot. There are small yellow ants in the room all the time and even on your bed so you everyday have to use repellent spray onto the bed before sitting or sleeping. When you wanna use nice roof top he doesn t allow you enjoying it before noon and after 9 pm despite no reason for it. His excuse used to be to us saying I m cleaning. It is closed after 9 pm although lights were on and there was no logic not to just sit there!
1 day before my checking out he again warmed me for a banana cover (what a silly and nonsense thing that dies not worth even distracting a guest for it). The first 4 days we kept ourselves and we said always okaayy to his weird rules but the last day banana was the last drop of the glass for me! Here is what exactly happened: He told me to throw banana in the basket with a plastic bag. I said if I had I would but I didn't have and the banana s not on the floor or anywhere it is in the wastebasket that you gave us. If you want to keep your basket cleaner you can provide plastic bags for each basket as every hotel does and he started shouting at me no you have to do it not me and I know you had a plastic bag and you didn't use it! Madness completely madness how he can make sure I have plastic bag in my room! Think about it. Then he kept for along time murmuring and disturbing me with putting stress on me and sharing his own anger for some time unceasingly. When I said this is not good for your hotel and I will not write good comments... He yelled at me like crazy and said to me Fuck you!!! Go and write whatever you want you crazy! The biggest shock I ve ever had so far and not sth that suits and represents Nepali people actually. Me and my friends checked out the same day and they even asked money for a glass of water they gave us. I guess he has a mental problem or emotional disorder since he was very found at first towards us and he even played guitar and chatted with us nicely. Very suddenly changing mood and aggressive manner which is not safe at all honestly. I would never recommend anyone to stay there although the view is fine. There are better places like lake view hotel etc with the same price and better in all terms. And the best one is Meditation center which is pretty cosy, silent, comfortable and more than a home which also provides free meditations and mediattion hall and everything you need, very clean and tidy as well. This mediattion center is 20 steps ahead from Namaste Lodge and I would say certainly go for it!
Wish you all enjoy your trips. Thank you for reading. Namaste
